This Ellijay home had a dead space adjacent to the side of the fireplace. The owners wanted a creative use of the wasted space, so I designed and built a mini bar with a small beverage refrigerator. The countertop and shelves were made from live edge black walnut and the surround of the refrigerator from white oak. The shelves have integrated led lights connected to a dimmer and Lutron Caseta smart house lighting control system. The backsplash was adorned with antique mirrors. It's always challenging to install wiring in solid wood slabs, but it turned out great!
